Episode 57: Motivation, Bro

Uploading pics here is a pain. It's supposed to rotated to it's side. Looks like a person screaming if you do that. Darn Blogspot
In this recording, we address Will's month long hiatus and how to motivate yourself into getting work done. Work like, say, a new rpg.

Also, Steve Mather's epic Ingenero is finally finished and on sale!

Want to Join MBP?

So, Rudy and I have been trying to get the podcast restarted for awhile now. What we would really like to do is return to our old format of playtesting work-in-progress games and critiquing them on the podcast, followed by a bit of topical nonsense. We got a good pretty reception to this, both from designers and our handful of listeners.

Unfortunately, Mike has other business and hasn't been able to cast lately, and this doesn't seem to be likely to change in the near future. Our other on-again-off-again players either have equally erratic schedules or very little interest in trying out new indie games.

Taking all of this into consideration, we're considering shifting the podcast over to Skype (or Google+) and welcoming a long-distance podcaster. Is anyone interested?

You would have to be willing to take a few hours each week (or every other week) to playtest a game and then talk about it on podcast with us. You would also need a high tolerance for random bullshit. That's it. As our (three) listeners know, we don't set the bar very high.

If you're interested, you can leave a comment on this post or send an email to momsbasement [at] miserytourism.com.
